Matthew 28: An empty tomb near Jerusalem, and the mountain in Galilee
Read it →At dawn after the Sabbath, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary find the stone rolled back and an angel who tells them Jesus has risen and is going before the disciples to Galilee. Jesus meets them and repeats the word: his brothers are to go to Galilee, and there they will see him. Some of the guard go into the city and are paid by the chief priests to say the body was stolen, and the eleven go to Galilee, to the mountain Jesus had directed them to, where he sends them to make disciples of all nations.

Regions on this map
Verses 7, 10 and 16: Galilee, where the angel and then Jesus say the disciples will see him, and where the eleven go to the mountain.
Named three times: the angel says Jesus is going before the disciples to Galilee (verse 7), Jesus tells the women his brothers are to go there (verse 10), and the eleven go to Galilee, to an unnamed mountain, where they see and worship him (verses 16-17). Galilee is the northern region around the lake.
the northern region as a whole; the representative point the sources give falls in the Sea of Galilee, and the text does not name the mountain
Verse 11: the city the guards go into to report to the chief priests.
Meant by "the city" (verse 11), where some of the guard report to the chief priests and are paid to say the disciples stole the body. The tomb of the chapter's opening is outside it; Matthew does not name its site.
